May 14th Luncheon meeting with Naval Submarine League - Atlantic Southeast Chapter
Friends and supporters of The Camden Partnership have been invited to attend the Naval Submarine League - Atlantic Southeast Chapter lunch meeting on Monday, May 14th at the St. Marys Submarinbe Museum. Meeting time is 11:30 am. The guest speaker will be Capt. Paul Dinius from Trident Refit Facility (TRF).
There is much discussion about the lengthening of the Trident Class Submarine lifetime to 42 years in order to meet Strategic Mission taskings until arrival of the Columbia Class replacement. To that end, TRF will face the dual challenges of an increase in repair work concomitant with finding sufficient skilled submarine repair workers to accomplish the increased workload. Capt. Dinius will share with us his perspectives on these challenges and possibly take questions from the community members attending.
Lunch will be available for those who RSVP either to Mark Kevan, Chapter President, via email, to the Submarine Museum (882-2782), or to The Camden Partnership (882-2636). Cost will be $10:00.
Naval Submarine League - Atlantic Southeast Chapter meetings are open to the public interested in our Submarine Force and not just to Naval Submarine League members. Additionally, TRF is a major employer in our community so the meeting promises to be informative to all.
Please make your reservations today.
